  Fudge Chocolate Almond Pie

 

Ingredients (for 6 to 8 people)


Puff pastry

200 grams flour

100 g cold butter, diced

1 egg

50 g rock sugar

1 pinch of salt

(or use commercial puff pastry to save time)

Make chocolate filling

200 g dark chocolate (cocoa content 60-70)

150 ml full cream

50 ml of milk

50 g sugar

2 eggs

40 g almond flour

Sliced almonds (for top, optional)


Preparation

1. Prepare shortbread:

Combine flour, rock sugar and salt in a bowl.

Cream the butter with your fingertips.

Add the eggs, knead into a ball, slightly squish, wrap well and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

2. Lay tin foil:

Roll out the dough in the tart shell (22-24 cm) and punch the bottom with a fork.

Preheat oven to 180 °C and prebake for 10-12 minutes.

3. Prepare the filling:

Heat the cream, milk and sugar in a saucepan.

Add the chocolate pieces after removing from heat. Stir until melted.

Add the beaten eggs, then add the almond flour.

4. Assemble and bake:

Pour the chocolate mixture over the pre-baked tart base.

Sprinkle with sliced almonds (optional).

Bake at 180 °C for 18-20 minutes: the filling should set, but the center will still melt.

Method of consumption

Serve hot or cold with a dash of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

🍪 Ingredients

Graham Cracker Base:

1.5 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

Half teaspoon of salt

1/2 cup softened unsalted butter

Half cup of brown sugar

Quarter cup sugar

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup graham cracker crumbles

S’mores Filling:

1.5 cups chocolate chips (milk chocolate or semisweet)

2 cups mini marshmallows

1/2 cup crushed graham crackers (optional, adds crisp texture)


🔥 Preparation method

 

1 ️ ⃣ Warm up and prepare:

Preheat oven to 350 ° F (175 °C).

Line a 9 x 13-inch baking sheet with baking paper and lightly grease.

 

2 ️ ⃣ Make a graham cracker base:

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

In a separate bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and sugar until fluffy.

Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.

Gradually add the dry ingredients, then fold in the graham cracker crumbles.

Press the dough evenly into the prepared bread.

 

3 ️ ⃣ Bake cake base:

Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden brown. Remove from oven.

 

4 ️ ⃣ Add S’mores filling:

Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly on the warm cake base.

If using mini marshmallows and crushed graham crackers, top.

Place back in the oven and bake until the marshmallows are golden brown and the chocolate is melted, 5-7 minutes.

 

5 ️ ⃣ Cool slices:

Wait until the cookie bars have cooled completely before cutting into squares.
